Aluminum Recycling

Aluminum is an infinitely recyclable material, and it takes up to 95 percent less energy to recycle it than to produce primary aluminum, which also limits emissions, including greenhouse gases. Today, about 75 percent of all aluminum produced in history, nearly a billion tons, is still in use.

Aluminum is a silver-white metal that became one of the most popular engineering materials thanks to its durability and low weight. It easily binds with other elements and is very resistant to corrosion. Aluminum is used across many industries, including aerospace, transportation, and construction.

Found in: aluminum sheeting and extrusions, alloy wheels, license plates, soda cans, food wrap foils, storm windows and frames, aluminum lawn chairs

What aluminum products can be recycled?

Aluminum products other than cans can be recycled. Other recyclable aluminum products include siding, gutters, storm window frames, lawn furniture, foil, sheeting, pipes, and aluminum packaging.

Is aluminum recycling profitable?

The quality of Aluminium is not impaired by recycling – it can be repeatedly recycled and hence Aluminum retains a high scrap value. Almost 100% of the Aluminum Scrap arising from the manufacturing of Aluminum products is being recycled. Thus, Aluminum Scrap is considered one of the most valuable scraps in the world.
